Hiro is a minor character in Crystal Story II. He is a legendary hero, who was thought to have defeated Rita during the events of the original Crystal Story. He had actually hired Mercenary Inc. to capture Rita for him so he could take the credit for it.
In Crystal Story II, the group first meets him at the Landing where he gives them the Wind Wistle to help them reach Aurora Island. Then he also gives Lina his autograph.

With the Crystal Story I team named after the companions of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Hiro is a possibly a parody of Benjamin, the protagonist of Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest.
