Here are listed the different possible status effects and their detailed description.

Positive effects (Buffs)[]

Effect attack up ATK UP Increases the damage of physical attacks and physical attack skills ( ATK: 140% )
Effect defense up DEF UP Decreases the damage taken from physical attacks and physical attack skills ( DEF: 150%, i.e. 66.6% of incoming damage )
Effect magic up MAG UP Increases the damage of magical attacks and magical attack skills ( MAG: 180% )
Effect spirit up MDEF UP Decreases the damage taken from magical attacks and magical attack skills ( MDEF: 150%, i.e. 66.6% of incoming damage )
Speed up status SPD UP Increases Speed ( SPD: 150% )
Regenerating status REGEN Heals HP at regular intervals (30 increments)
Blurred status Blur Increases Evasion to physical attacks 
Effect defense up Guard Redirects next enemy attack to self, and increases overall defense ( (M)DEF: 125% )
Autoraise status Auto Life Automatically Revives when Dead (does not wear off) (after Revival, the revived takes some time to "get back in the race" on the turn bar)

Effect silence Silence Unable to use Skills or Magic
Effect sleep Sleep Unable to take action in battle (Effect lost when damaged)
Stunned status Stun Unable to take action in battle (Wears off after a short time)
Status stoned Stone Unable to take action in battle (Doesn't wear off ; must be cured)
Confused status Confused At their turn, will launch a physical attack on a random target on the field (Even an ally, or themselfs) (Wears off within a few turns)
Effect dead Dead Unable to take any more action in battle, nor being healed/buffed (must be Revived)

Notes[]

  • Guard is dispelled by any enemy action against the wearer (damaging or not);
  • With a Guard weapon equipped, Guard bonus becomes (M)DEF: 200% (and damage is reflected upon the attacking enemy)
  • Sleep is not dispelled by 'Steal' and can be used to rob an enemy of all it's possessions. Neither dispelled by an attack that happens to deal no damage to or heal its target (due to null/negative elemental resistance).
    • The increments of Poison do not remove Sleep from the target, meaning that casting Sleep on a poisoned character will cause them to lose health and be asleep at the same time.
  • A confused character's attack is always random and will not be preferentially redirected toward an ally with Guard status. However, if a confused character attacks an ally with Guard "PLUS" status active, he/she will take reflected damage.
  • Buffs and Nerfs follow the rule of "Last one wins" i.e., if you are slowed and you cast Quicken, SPD UP will overwrite SPD DOWN.
  • (*)Important : There seems to be a glitch regarding the DEF/MDEF DOWN nerfs; in fact, they appear to have no effect at all! Neither on enemies nor on heroes.
