- Increases healing potions' power by 50% (e.g. Heal Potion I: 75HP -> 112HP)
- Decreases potion delay by 50%: is normally 4 segments, so let's call each segment 25%. Normally potions would be about 33% delay (1+1/3 segments of the action bar) ; Item+ reduces this to 16.7% delay (2/3 segment).
- Increases Burst damage by 50% (i.e. instead of 100-200% of ATK, it's now 150-300% of ATK) ; same delay.

- The HP-stealing effect works on all attacks, whether magical, physical, or charged attacks. If an attack hits all enemies, it will heal for each enemy. For example, if you used D's Dragon Breath and it deals 5000 damage to 5 different enemies, D will heal 2500 HP.
- The only exception is the increments of poison, which do not heal your character. (Meaning casting Poison does not give you a "Regen" effect.)

- Damage Reflection occurs when a character is hit by a spell (even a group-affecting spell) or physical attack.
- You must be buffed with Guard to have the damage reflection effect occur.
- If an enemy casts an attack that hits the entire party, the damage reflection effect stacks up for each character that has casted Guard with a Guard+ weapon.
- Note that even without a Guard+ weapon equipped, enemies will always attack the character that has Guard. If multiple characters are buffed with Guard, they will attack with the following priority:

- Lina
- Mari
- Kaz
- For example, if Lina and Kaz are both Guarded, enemies will attack Lina before Kaz.
- One must be cautious when using the improved Guard skill, because of a bug (or rather, an oversight) in its mechanics, which causes damage reflecting on a character. (See glitches)
