(*) IMPORTANT: There is a bug that causes certain spells that, when directed at the character performing the Guard spell with a weapon that improves the Guard skill, cause it to trigger the Guard spell on friendly characters or even the Guardian themselves. Spells included are:

  • Transfer MP
  • Concentrate
  • Reinforce
  • Other spells, such as Berserk, may also be subject to this. (unconfirmed)
  • Items such as Panacea.

Healing spells do not trigger Guard.
